Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
In Term 2 each year, our Stage 3 students participate in the Drawing Us Together competition to celebrate Naidoc week. Students are asked to listen to Indigenous stories and poems and create artworks to match.
The lucky and talented winners of this competition are invited to a lovely award ceremony at Bass Hill Plaza. Students participate in a sweeping ceremony, have their faces painted and are entertained with an Indigenous dance before being presented with their framed illustrations and awards. Artworks are published in the collection of stories and poems.
In 2025, we had 8 talented winners.
Book Week at CPPS is always a fantastic success, filled with fun, creativity and a love of reading. Students, teachers and the community alike enjoy the week’s events.
We kick things off with our much-loved Book Character Dress Up Day and K–2 Parade, where students proudly showcase their costumes.
We always have an extra special visit from an author, in 2025 it was Felice Arena. He entertained us with stories, taught us some Italian words, and even got everyone dancing the hilarious “cheese dance.”
"Condell Park Public School is not just a primary school; it is a stepping stone for our children to become independent, intelligent, and successful humans. They don't just have values written down; they stand by them and follow through with their motto – Dream, Believe, Learn, and Achieve. My children don't feel like they are sitting for six hours every day like robots. The teachers make learning fun, and the children want to come back every day. The principal, deputy principal, office staff, and teachers walk in with enthusiasm every single day, which not only makes the children comfortable but also their parents. The school and P&C committee organise amazing fundraisers and activities all year round for the children to look forward to. My children are flourishing and will continue to, thanks to Condell Park Public School."
