Student opportunities and activities

Debating and public speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and State events.

Creative and performing arts

Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities. We work with The Song Room, who provide professional artists weekly to support students in their love of all things creative.

Trips and excursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.

Sporting Events

Each year, we hold two athletics and cross country carnivals. K-2 students have their carnivals at school, while Years 3-6 hold their carnivals at The Crest Sporting Facility or Bankstown City Sporting Complex. Our HPGE students have the opportunity to compete at the next level, representing the Bankstown Zone. We have had many successes, with some students advancing to the State finals.

PSSA

Our school offers a range of different competitive winter and summer sports includer, soccer, basketball, tennis and netball. PSSA operates every Friday. Many of our students are selected to represent the Bankstown Zone at the next level of competition.

In Terms 2 and 3, students from Years 3 to 6 participate in our winter tennis program. Over 12 weeks, they attended sessions at Deverall Park tennis courts, where they learn basic tennis skills and enjoyed a variety of fun games and matches. The school supplied tennis racquets and balls, ensure every student had the necessary equipment to participate. This program has provided a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, stay active and form new friendships throughout the winter months.
