Student opportunities and activities
At Condell Park Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests. Teachers run extra-curricular clubs each week, to nurture and enhance student potential.
Many students also participate in wellbeing groups, to support them when they are finding aspects of home and school life a little challenging. Many of these activities are supported by external providers free of charge due to the excellent relationships we have built with services beyond the school.
Our programs include:
- school sport, athletics and inter-school competitions (PSSA)
- creative and performing arts groups and showcases
- cultural and language activities
- excursions and incursions
- public speaking and debating
- interest-based clubs
- student leadership opportunities
- student parliament
- robotics
- dance (with a qualified dance teacher)
- wellbeing groups - Drumbeat - Taming the Hulk

Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and State events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities. We work with The Song Room, who provide professional artists weekly to support students in their love of all things creative.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Sporting Events
Each year, we hold two athletics and cross country carnivals. K-2 students have their carnivals at school, while Years 3-6 hold their carnivals at The Crest Sporting Facility or Bankstown City Sporting Complex. Our HPGE students have the opportunity to compete at the next level, representing the Bankstown Zone. We have had many successes, with some students advancing to the State finals.
PSSA
Our school offers a range of different competitive winter and summer sports includer, soccer, basketball, tennis and netball. PSSA operates every Friday. Many of our students are selected to represent the Bankstown Zone at the next level of competition.
